Linzy Slayden and Friendship Baptist Church in Owasso, OK hosted the Oklahoma BBF on December 10-11. The theme of the meeting was “Feasting on Christmas Truth.” The meeting began Monday afternoon as the pastors gathered to discuss and brainstorm ideas for church planting within the state. Monday night, Friendship Baptist treated all the pastors and wives to dinner at a Japanese steakhouse in town. Tuesday mornings speakers included: Andy Plunk from Maranatha Baptist Temple in Collinsville, OK speaking on “Feasting on Christmas Love,” Shane Peters from Heatherridge Baptist Church in Tulsa, OK speaking on “Feasting on Christmas Peace,” and new BBFI president, Tim Adrian from Westside Baptist Church in Hutchinson, KS speaking on “Feasting on Christmas Hope.” Tuesday morning also included a breakout session where pastors discussed outreach and discipleship ideas and a special meeting just for the ladies.
