The Baptist Bible Tribune published its first issue on June 23, 1950, barely a month after the Baptist Bible Fellowship was formed. That eight-page weekly newspaper gave the new Fellowship a voice. It connected pastors, missionaries, and churches while introducing the BBFI and its work to a wider audience.
Although the way we communicate has changed, our purpose has not.
Today, the Baptist Bible Tribune is the fully digital communication ministry of the Baptist Bible Fellowship International. Through news, feature articles, ministry perspectives, editorials, devotionals, and other biblical resources, the Tribune serves BBFI pastors, church staff, missionaries, ministry leaders, churches, and their members.
The Tribune tells the story of what God is doing throughout the Fellowship. It celebrates churches that are advancing the Gospel, shares the experiences of missionaries serving around the world, addresses important issues facing ministry leaders and believers, and provides Christ-centered content that informs, encourages, and strengthens the local church.
Since 1950, the Baptist Bible Fellowship International has brought together independent Baptist pastors, churches, missionaries, and ministry leaders around a shared commitment to biblical truth, the autonomy of the local church, and the Great Commission. The Tribune supports that mission by helping the people of the BBFI remain informed, connected, and encouraged as they work together to reach the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Tribune’s format has changed throughout its history, first as a newspaper, then as a magazine, and now as a fully digital platform. Its enduring mission remains the same: to faithfully communicate the work of the Baptist Bible Fellowship and tell the good news of what God is doing in and through its churches and people.
