WICHITA, KS — On Saturday, March 28, 2026, Glenville Church in Wichita, Kansas, pastored by Bruce Thomas, hosted a powerful men’s event titled “From Broken to Bold,” drawing more than 400 men from eight churches across Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Arkansas.
The one-day gathering, branded as the 2026 Beast Feast, focused on spiritual renewal, personal responsibility, and the transforming power of the gospel in the lives of men. From the opening session to the final invitation, the emphasis remained clear, God restores what is broken and strengthens men for purposeful living.
The day began with fellowship, followed by a time of praise and worship. Attendees were then challenged through multiple breakout sessions led by pastors and ministry leaders addressing key areas of Christian growth and leadership.
Breakout speakers included Joel Byers, Chris Powell, Tim Adrian, Al Schuessler, Randy Harp, Tracy Roby, Joey Candillo, Tyler O’Donnell, and Chef Mike McCoy. Each session addressed practical and spiritual topics such as living godly lives for the next generation, how God reshapes men through adversity, strengthening marriages, taking ownership of personal testimony, and developing bold faith in a broken world.
The event also featured a message from Joel Byers, pastor of Central Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas. Byers spoke with clarity and conviction, calling men to a better understanding of forgiveness. His message reinforced the event’s theme by emphasizing that God does not merely repair men, He rebuilds them for His purposes.
One of the highlights of the day was the meal, during which everyone enjoyed brisket, pulled pork, and ribs that had been smoked for several days in preparation for the event. One thing is for certain, no one left hungry.
Throughout the day, the spirit of unity among the participating churches was evident. Men from different churches came together around a common purpose, to grow in their faith and be equipped to live boldly for Christ.
“It was an honor for our church to host this event,” said Pastor Bruce Thomas. “Our men considered it an honor to serve other men. I appreciate so much everyone who helped make it a reality.”
As churches continue to seek ways to engage and disciple men effectively, events like From Broken to Bold serve as a reminder that when men are challenged, equipped, and unified around the gospel, the results can have a lasting impact on families, churches, and communities.
