Fellowship Meeting 2023: Host Pastor Perspective

Clovis, CA

I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the incredible experience we had at the recent BBFI Fellowship meeting. Personally, I feel the event was a tremendous success, and I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to be a part of such a special gathering.

First and foremost, the attendance at the meeting was remarkable. It was heartwarming to see so many members of the BBFI community come together in one place, united by our shared mission and passion for spreading the Gospel. The sheer number of individuals present was a testament to the strength and vitality of our fellowship.

What truly stood out to me, however, was the overwhelmingly friendly and loving atmosphere that permeated throughout the event. The sense of camaraderie and genuine care for one another was truly off the charts. It was evident that this fellowship is not just an organization but a family bound together by a deep love for God and each other.

I was particularly moved by the response of the Sonrise people who attended the meeting. They were amazed by the worship and the quality of the speakers. Bruce Garner and Tim Hawks “brought it”… didn’t they? And the morning speakers set a tone that spoke loudly to all that this movement, the BBFI is ALIVE AND WELL. But what really touched the folks at Sonrise the most was the opportunity to serve those who have dedicated their lives to serving others. The selflessness and dedication of the BBFI members left an indelible impression on them, and it was a beautiful example of Christ’s love in action.

It was a pleasure for Sonrise to be the place where our former presidents Linzy Slayden, Eddie Lyons, and Tim Adrian were duly honored for their incredible contribution to this fellowship through some dark, difficult times. The presidential rings help us all to say thank you… wear them with honor.

Lastly, we were blessed with beautiful weather throughout the entire meeting. It was as if God Himself smiled upon us, providing the perfect backdrop for fellowship, worship, learning, and sightseeing! It served as a reminder of His faithfulness and goodness to us all.

In conclusion, thank you to everyone, particularly Randy Harp and Phil Housley, for sharing their valuable personal insights into the details involved in making it a success, and may we continue to be a shining light for the Gospel in all that we do. The Gospel Changes Everything… indeed!
