It was an honor hosting the September National meeting here at Park Valley Church. I sensed unity, harmony and love from all that attended the conference. All of the speakers were used of God in incredible ways to teach us and motivate us in the call God has placed on our lives.
We had an opportunity to focus on real life stories from BBFI pastors who have greatly benefitted from their connection to our network. Pastors like Carl Hughes who found support for his church and his community through the devastation of Hurricane Harvey. Pastor Tom Mozingo, who was close to quitting the pastorate, was encouraged by a group of Fellowship pastors and now God is blessing his ministry in incredible ways. Pastor Rob Willis who lost his wife to cancer found support and friendship from a network of BBFI pastors and now continues to serve the Lord faithfully. We truly are better together.
We took time during the breakout sessions to discuss ideas for outreach, discipleship, service planning, first impressions and family ministries. Everyone was positive and appreciative of the work and planning that went in to putting together the meeting. Our goal was for all who attended to be encouraged and motivated to stay strong in the fight. We didn’t hear one negative comment. Everyone was encouraged and refreshed.
I can’t thank the people and staff of Park Valley enough for all they did. Their sacrifice to pay for this event, host guests in their homes and treat all of our guests with love and kindness was appreciated by all.
The museum of the Bible was a great way to end the conference and a great opportunity for fellowship and getting to know other pastors.
We have a lot of work to do building our network but at least we know that the people who are with us are with us. It’s so nice to be a part of something where there is unity and love; a network where you can do what God has called you to do the way He wants you to do it. We have a great future and I am looking forward to what God is going to do throughout the world through the BBFI.
