LBU and GLU President Represents at Liberty University’s Presidential Inauguration

Lynchburg, VA

Greg Lyons, president of Louisiana Baptist University and Global Life University, was a special guest invited to attend the inauguration of Dondi Costin as the sixth president of Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA.  

Lyons was among a group of honored guests, including Elmer Towns, co-founder of Liberty University; Johnathan Falwell, newly appointed chancellor of Liberty University; Glenn Youngkin, governor of Virginia; Christian music artist Michael W. Smith, and the leaders of fourteen other universities. 

Lyons presented Costin with Letters of Commendation from both LBU and GLU. The letters honored Costin for his commitment to Christian education, for his commitment to Liberty University’s mission of “Training Champions for Christ,” and for his commitment to lead the university to fulfill the Great Commission. 

Lyons represented the over fifty-year history of LBU, GLU, and LU. He said about the event, “The inauguration motivated me to strengthen Christian education around the world and inspired me to do more for the Great Commission.”
