High Street Institute Holds First Graduation

Springfield, MO

On June 24th, the High Street Institute graduated its first class of eight residents. High Street Church launched its residency program to further equip students wanting to grow in Biblical wisdom and gain experience in vocational ministry. At the graduation ceremony, each student shared what God taught them during their time as a resident at High Street Church.

“If I’m still here, God’s still working. I realized that God brought me to the Residency to equip me for the work that He was going to do through me.” -Miles Richardson, Resident Graduate.

Residents had an opportunity to share what their next step is after completing the program. Each of the residents expressed their confidence in doing ministry because of the training they received from the High Street Institute.

Family, friends, staff, and the church celebrated the residents at the graduation ceremony. Many of the students were able to invite family and friends who do not regularly attend church but came to support their students. The Gospel was presented as part of the ceremony, and these family and friends were able to hear personal stories of how God has changed the lives of each resident.

“The past few years, my family has seen the drastic change in me since I accepted Christ. I have intentionally been praying for their own salvation. At graduation, God gave me the perfect opportunity to clearly present the Gospel. Graduation has been the perfect conversation starter to talk about Jesus with them further!” -Courtney Reger, Resident Graduate.

High Street Church was blessed by the service of its residents this past year. God provided the resources needed for High Street to launch a program that equips the next generation of church leaders. The church is expectant for their next class of residents to begin the program in August. To learn more about the High Street Institute, click here.
