BBFI Leadership Advances Forward in Fort Worth for State Rep Meeting

Fort Worth, TX

From February 5 to 7, 2024, the Baptist Bible Fellowship International Central Office hosted the Fourth Annual State Rep Advance. State Representatives and the Executive Committee met for a two-fold purpose. First, the BBFI wanted to give back to the State Reps for their commitment and work in their states. This is the primary reason the team from Presence Point was brought in. Second, a gathering like this is a great opportunity to accomplish much regarding BBFI’s business.

The meeting featured the leaders of Presence Point, who contributed their expertise in shepherding leadership. The practical seminar aimed to empower BBFI leaders, emphasizing the significance of their role in influencing and impacting lives. President Jon Haley expressed, “This was a great meeting. The time with Presence Point was extremely encouraging, and we were able to get a lot of important BBFI business taken care of as well.”

The Monday night session kicked off with teaching facilitated by Presence Point, setting the tone for an immersive experience. Tuesday followed suit, dedicating the entire day to Presence Point’s impactful teachings. A break in the evening allowed for dinner and fellowship at Cooper’s Old Time Pit Bar-B-Que, a historic spot near the Fort Worth Stockyards.

Presence Point, known for challenging leaders to embrace their role as Shepherding Leaders, has been invited to two state fellowships in the coming months – the Oklahoma BBF on April 1-2, 2024, and the Indiana BBF on March 11-12, 2024.

Wednesday marked an important time dedicated to BBFI business discussions, ensuring that important matters were addressed in person. Bruce Thomas, standing in for the Kansas State Representative, shared his perspective: “I had no idea how much work the Central Office and Executive Committee were doing. The future is bright for the BBFI.”
