Church Plant Moves into Permanent Location and Celebrates with 20 Baptisms

O'Fallon, MO

Grace River Church of O’Fallon, MO celebrated the grand opening of their first permanent location on Sunday, December 8, 2019. Chris Highfill, pastor of Grace River, said, “Today was my favorite Sunday in the last five years. Over 400 people gathered to celebrate what God has done.” Grace River followed up their grand opening service the following week by having their first baptismal service with twenty people going public with their faith.

Grace River Church was started in 2013 in the living room of Chris and Sarah Highfill. After a short time meeting at John Weldon Elementary, they moved to the O’Fallon YMCA in December of 2015. They celebrated that move with a record attendance of 188 people and baptizing nine.

Highfill is originally from Springfield, MO. After serving on staff as youth pastor at Seminole Baptist Church for 13 years, the church sent them out as church planters. In addition to serving as lead pastor of Grace River Church, he also serves as the first vice-chairman of the O’Fallon Chamber of Commerce and the Saint Charles County Vision Leadership Program.

The address to the new location is 1901 Trade Center Drive, Saint Peters, MO  63376
