Clermont, FL — On Sunday, January 11, 2026, Venture Church officially launched its first public worship service in Clermont, Florida, marking an exciting new chapter for both the congregation and the Baptist Bible Fellowship International. Venture Church is the newest BBFI church plant and is part of a growing movement of new churches being launched across the state with the support of the Florida Baptist Bible Fellowship.
Pastor Caleb York reported a strong and encouraging first Sunday, with 71 people in attendance and 21 volunteers serving throughout the morning to help make the launch possible.
“This past Sunday marked our very first gathering as Venture Church, and we are incredibly grateful for all that God did,” York said. “From setup to worship to prayer, our volunteers served with such joy, and we could not be more thankful for their commitment.”
The service launched a new sermon series through the book of Joshua, beginning in chapter 12, which highlights the 31 kings defeated by Israel as God faithfully led His people into the Promised Land. Pastor York used the passage to emphasize the importance of remembering God’s faithfulness and responding with obedience, prayer, and trust.
“From the very beginning, we want our church to be anchored in the Word of God and committed to prayer,” York explained. “We challenged our people to take a next step by committing to our 2026 Bible Reading Plan and Prayer Challenge, because we believe healthy spiritual habits are foundational for a healthy church.”
By the end of the service, two individuals made decisions to follow Christ, and several others recommitted their lives to Him.
“We are overwhelmed with gratitude for what God has already done,” York said. “This is just the beginning. We believe God is building something meaningful here, not for our name, but for His glory.”

Happy to read another church plant in the Sunshine State. We winter here in Fort Myers and hope to make our way up to Clermont to check it out. God bless you brother York.
Thank you Lord!
