Texas BBF State Fellowship Meeting Brings Encouragement and Connection in Waco

TX BBF Meets in Waco

Pastors, missionaries, and ministry leaders from across Texas gathered January 19–20, 2026, at historic First Baptist Church in Waco for the Texas Baptist Bible Fellowship State Fellowship Meeting, enjoying two days of preaching, leadership training, worship, and meaningful connection.

The meeting featured guest speaker Terry Thompson of Small Church USA, who preached Monday evening and led leadership sessions on Tuesday morning. Thompson’s ministry focuses on strengthening and resourcing small and mid-sized churches, a mission that strongly resonated with many in attendance.

In his Monday evening message titled “No Regrets,” Thompson challenged pastors and church leaders to remain forward-focused in both their faith and ministry. He emphasized the importance of perseverance, refusing to live in the past, and intentionally investing in the next generation so they will not only know the Word of God but also know God personally.

Kyle Densmore, who serves as the State Chairman/Representative for Texas, reflected on the meeting’s impact and the spirit of fellowship throughout the two days.

“It was a great meeting of where we all left encouraged and more connected,” Densmore said. “It was held at the historic FBC Waco, and there was a great turnout. Terry Thompson from Small Church USA did a great job. His sermon on Monday night really hit home and his Tuesday morning sessions were extremely practical. Tuesday evening capped the meeting off with a great night of worship led by Brandon Culpepper from Central Tyler. It is always such a special time when we can get together, connect, and be encouraged.”

Throughout the meeting, attendees were also able to enjoy extended times of informal connection and conversation. Central Tyler graciously provided refreshments before each session, creating natural opportunities for fellowship among pastors, church staff, and ministry leaders from across the state.

Several attendees expressed appreciation for both the spiritual encouragement and the relational connection that the meeting provided.

Gary Milbourne, pastor of Revolution Church in Pearland, Texas, said, “I always enjoy connecting with the pastors of the Texas BBF.”

Philip Scott, pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Early, Texas, shared, “Great meeting and great fellowship.”

Terry Kizer, director of APEX Churches, added, “This was a great event. I love our Fellowship.”

Other leaders expressed gratitude for the strong participation and for the opportunity to gather once again around the Word of God, worship, and mutual support.
