The BBFI Central Office hosted the 2026 Healthy Church Conference on Thursday, February 26, 2026, bringing together pastors and ministry leaders from across the Fellowship.
Streaming live on the BBFI YouTube channel and BBFI website from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. CST, this year’s conference centered on the theme “Church Health in 15 Minutes,” emphasizing concise, practical teaching that leaders can put into practice right away. Hundreds of pastors, staff members, and church leaders participated either during the live broadcast or through on-demand viewing afterward.
Meeting a Strategic Need
The Healthy Church Conference continues to serve an important role within the Fellowship calendar. Since the BBFI no longer hosts a national in-person gathering in February, the virtual conference has become a strategic opportunity to provide encouragement, connection, and leadership development during a traditionally quieter season of the ministry year.
Launched as an initiative of the BBFI Central Office, the conference was designed to remove travel barriers while still delivering meaningful training and fellowship. The virtual format allows pastors and leadership teams to participate individually, gather with church staff, or host group watch events within state fellowships, serving pastors and churches across the Fellowship.
Over the past several years, the Healthy Church Conference has grown into an anticipated event for ministry leaders seeking biblical truth and practical ministry help.
Executive Committee Provides Focused Teaching
A distinctive feature of the 2026 conference was its lineup of speakers. Each session was delivered by one of the current BBFI Executive Committee (National Officers), reflecting both the Fellowship’s unity and leadership direction.
True to the theme, each speaker presented a focused 15-minute session addressing core elements of church health. Topics included leading in “Babylon,” clarifying mission and strategy, cultivating disciple-making cultures, developing leaders at every level, strengthening volunteer and staff systems, and maintaining a strong missions emphasis within the local church.
The concise format required speakers to communicate with clarity and intentionality, resulting in sessions that were both biblically grounded and immediately actionable. Participants noted the high quality of the content and the practical nature of the instruction, with many expressing appreciation for teaching that addressed real-world ministry challenges that pastors and church leaders face weekly.
Rather than offering theory alone, the sessions emphasized implementation, reinforcing the conference’s central conviction that healthy churches are built through intentional leadership, clear mission, and faithful ministry practices.
A Ministry of the BBFI Central Office
The Healthy Church Conference is a ministry of the BBFI Central Office, created to serve pastors and churches by providing biblical encouragement, leadership development, and practical ministry resources throughout the year.
By leveraging digital platforms, the Central Office seeks to strengthen connections across the Fellowship while equipping leaders to build healthy, mission-focused churches in their local communities. All sessions from the 2026 Healthy Church Conference are now available for viewing on the BBFI.org website, allowing pastors and ministry leaders to benefit from the teaching at their convenience and to share the content with their leadership teams.
