Get to Know … Brian Moore

Sixth in a series introducing the new BBFI national officers.

Brian Moore is the secretary of the BBFI. Take a few minutes and get to know him a little better.

  1. Where did you grow up? What is your favorite childhood memory?
    St. Joseph, MO
In 3rd grade I played on a basketball team.  Time was running out and we were down one point.  The other team knocked the ball out of bounds with four seconds to go on our side of the court.  I decided to take the basketball out of bounds to pass in.  All I heard was the crowd yelling shoot it.  I shot it from out of bounds.  We lost the game.
  2. When/where did you get saved? When/where did you surrender to ministry?
I was saved on May, 20, 1991.  In the living room of my house.  My parents led me to the Lord.
I surrendered to ministry when I was 16 years old at Rock Springs camp in Kansas.
  3. When/where did you go to Bible college? What is your favorite college memory.
    Baptist Bible College
Favorite memory – When Jon Slayden, Randy Harp and myself all interviewed for the same youth pastor position in Orlando our senior year of college.  I wore a suit and tie and interviewed with the pastor and he asked me a ton of tough questions.  Jon interviewed after me but before he went in he asked me how it went.  I told him it was an extremly difficult and an intimidating interview.  That night Jon and I asked Randy how he did on that tough interview.  He said, “Tough!  What do you mean?  The pastor took me out to a steak dinner and we hit it off.”  Needless to say, “Randy ended up in Orlando.”  🙂
