Meet the Staff

Keith BasshamKeith Bassham, Executive Editor

Keith Bassham is the executive editor of the Baptist Bible Tribune. He joined the Tribune staff in 1995 and became executive editor in 2002.

He graduated from Baptist Bible College in 1976 (G. Th.) and 1993 (B.S.). Other degrees include Doctor of Letters (Hon. 2002 Louisiana Baptist University) and Doctor of Divinity (2007, Baptist Bible College). He has also completed graduate work in administrative studies at Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri.

From 1976 to 2002, he served as pastor and/or associate pastor of churches in Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Manitoba, Canada.

Keith is the author of Choosing Wisely, a collection of studies on The Proverbs published jointly by the Tribune and 21st Century Press. His other literary contributions to our movement include work as a contributor and editor for Our Baptist Heritage, published by Tribune Publishers, authorship of several historical, biographical and theological analyses regarding the founding of the Baptist Bible Fellowship International, and demographic studies of pastors and churches in the Fellowship. He has also been an instructor at Baptist Bible College where he taught courses in technology, writing and homiletics.

Keith met his wife Shari while at BBC, and they were married in 1974. They have three sons and four grandchildren.

Rob WalkerRob Walker, Assistant Editor

When Rob Walker joined the Tribune in May 2006, he brought his professional magazine production experience determined to put that experience to use in a ministry capacity. After graduating from Pensacola Christian College in 1998 with a degree in Communications, he began working as a tech editor and eventually became the managing editor of a monthly engineering-design magazine. Rob relocated from Enfield, Connecticut to Springfield, Missouri when the Lord opened the door at the Tribune. His goal is to help produce a quality publication with a contemporary design to showcase what the Lord is doing in the BBFI around the world. Rob was married in October 2007 and his hobbies include outdoor photography and restoring antique furniture.

Karrie Joy PerryKarri Joy Perry, Director of Office Services

Karri Joy, the daughter of former BBFI missionaries David and Barbara Lingo, graduated from Baptist Bible College in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in missions and Bible and an associate’s degree in word processing. She joined the Tribune staff in 2002 as Director of Office Services, but her job has evolved to include editing and coordinating advertising. Of her job she says, “I love my job. It gives me an opportunity to minister to pastors and missionaries – those who are usually ministering to others and oftentimes not ministered to.” She recently married Dave Perry, a graduate of Baptist Bible Graduate School. Karri enjoys reading, jogging, and spending time with family and friends.
